4th of July is probably my favorite holiday, aside from Christmas. It is filled with summertime, sunshine, BBQs and fireworks! It really doesn't get much better than that! McCall and I have unintentionally started a tradition of doing a hike every 4th of July. We have done once every year since we met. This year we decided to do Lake Blanche in Big Cottonwood Canyon. We have attempted this hike two previous times but it got too dark once and we got rained out the second time. It was rainy when we started the hike so we were worried that we would not be able to do it this time either. We were able to make it all the way this time and the rain was actually nice in the heat! It was beautiful!
That evening we went and watched fireworks at Liberty Park. There were a lot of....interesting...people there but we had a lot of fun none the less!
